Follow God’s Will
The sixth day's theme of Rev. Fr. John Paul P. Cabrera, a Parish Priest and Rector at San Ildefonso Parish, is about preparing the disciples for their mission and teaching them how to handle both acceptance and rejection. Rev. Fr. John, highlights the importance of accepting rejection, as well as the need to have obedience, faith, and humility.
“We are loving her; we are simply showing our devotion to her. '
Fr. John stated in his sermon that others who are not Catholics accused us Catholics that we are worshiping the Blessed Virgin Mary instead, we are loving Her just like we love our dear mother because our Savior Jesus Christ's mother is the Blessed Virgin Mary.
'To Jesus Through Mary'
highlights how Mary is a model of trust and obedience. By following and imitating her values, we can also grow a closer bond with Jesus.
Mary’s humility and openness to God allowed her to be a part of something greater than herself, showing us the importance of saying 'yes' to God, even when we don’t see the full picture.

'Walang impossible sa taong nananalig sa Diyos'
( Nothing is impossible for a person who believes in God. )
This phrase connects to Mary’s story too. Despite the incredible and seemingly impossible task of becoming the Mother of Jesus, Mary trusted God and His will. He worked wonders through her. Her faith in God’s plan made the impossible possible.
'Ang taong marunong magpakumbaba ay ipinagpapala, ang taong marunong, o laging nagmamataas ay walang mapapala”
(A humble person is blessed; one who is always proud gains nothing.)
In Mother Mary's whole life, Mary did not seek praise and glory. But because of her humility, God blessed Her and made Her the mother of Jesus. She teaches us that when we surrender our pride and trust in God, we are open to His blessings.
From this homily, we are reminded that we must take our Mother Mary as a model to live an obedient and faithful life, align our decisions with God's will, and maintain humility.
