“Draw inspiration from Mary Dominicans told as 31st Family Rosary Crusade begins”
Look at Mary not as an icon but as an inspiration to be truthful and honest.
This is what Rev. Msgr. Dario V. Cabral of the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador emphasized in FRC day given that a recent tide of corruption hounds our government today.
Rev. Msgr. Cabral also reminded everyone that “the center of devotion is the family, a family that prays.”
“I was at the center confronting machine guns and tanks. I was not afraid to die, I was praying the rosary,” he said.
He also pointed out that the rosary was seen as an instrument of the revolution, a prayer that gave hope to change the situation and ultimately, it helped the people win.
Msgr. Cabral also stressed that corruption does not begin in Congress and Senate, it begins inside the family—a family that prays the rosary — but does not put into action the meaning of what they are praying for.
He explained that even simple actions like telling a child to lie pettily in saying “wala si Mama” when a visitor comes, secretly taking money, hiding the truth, blaming others, begging teachers to pass failing students, using “backers,” or selling votes are all forms of corruption.
The mass presider also reminded everyone of the vital role of Mary in the Christian faith and in the history of salvation, urging the faithful to follow her example of faithfulness and obedience.
'The rosary is our revolutionary song,' he said.
A yearly show of Catholic, Dominican faith, FRC will run from September 27 to October 06, 2025.
